Renowned director Thiago Kiss (Jeff Scott Soto, Angra, Alirio, Spektra) brings a
cinematographic production portraying the search for inner purpose on the new music video
The band Shaman debuted “The “I” Inside”, which is the new album’s “Rescue” second single. Along with publishing the new song on the streaming platforms, the band is also releasing a music video with a mega-production directed by Thiago Kiss, who works with Jeff Scott Soto, Alirio, Angra, Spektra, among others.
Filmed on a desert beach on Sao Paulo’s coast, the video shows Alirio Netto (vocals), Hugo Mariutti (guitar), Luis Mariutti (bass), Ricardo Confessori (drums), and Fábio Ribeiro (keyboards) in great shape for Shaman’s highly-anticipated comeback.

“Rescue” will be made available on all streaming platforms on April 15th. The physical CD will be distributed in Brazil by Voice Music, in Argentina by Icarus Music, in Europe by Maldito Records, and in Japan King Records. Artist Carlos Fides, who has already worked with names such as Edu Falaschi and Noturnall, signs “Rescue”’s cover art. The album was produced by Sascha Paeth and features violinist Marcus Viana.
All the band members are credited as writers on all “Rescue” songs. The lyrics address losses and the stages of grief, but not in a negative way, according to Alirio Netto. Hugo Mariutti (guitar), Luis Mariutti (bass), Ricardo Confessori (drums), and Fábio Ribeiro (keyboards) faultlessly continued Shaman’s legacy.

Director Thiago Kiss comments on the music video:
“When Alirio called me and asked me to do the new Shaman video, I felt that it would be quite challenging. Before we started filming anything, I asked Alirio to explain the concept of the lyrics. Next, I invited actor Gustavo Merighi, who did a great job and helped me get immersed in Alirio’s lyrics and music. The actor had real feelings for the lyrics, and we were able to find a unique and cinematic concept for this new Shaman song. I believe that we found the right spot that shows all the music’s quality.”
Hugo Mariutti adds:
“Thiago Kiss managed to capture the song’s main essence perfectly and turned a video made from scratch into something wonderful. “The “I” Inside” is very significant for Shaman’s comeback, and the lyrics clearly portray everything that is present in the video. Thiago’s work was crucial in reaching the final results that you now can see.”
